My latest X Mag is getting a work over
The begining ;

what I got back yesterday ;

http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/maniacmechanic59/markers/CamoXMag001.jpg
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/maniacmechanic59/markers/CamoXMag004.jpg
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/maniacmechanic59/markers/CamoXMag002.jpg

http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/maniacmechanic59/markers/CamoXMag005.jpg
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/maniacmechanic59/markers/CamoXMag006.jpg

this is a Water Transfer Printing job , the guy that did it REALLY worked with me to get my desired results , a continious flowing pattern , that flows from one part to the other
Another cool thing about WTP is there is no nasty dipping in the lie , stuff is either taped off or the hole is plugged ( so you don't have to worry about " thats been annoed 3 times , can't do it again ") none of the internals , mating parts or screw hole tolerances are affected Examples ;

Droped off a hopper , warp feed & a set of lexan panels yesterday when I picked this up , more when I get them back

Wow! :wow:

From ultimate speedball to ultimate woodsball!

Can you do another picture of yourself with your complete setup like you have on your BEO banner pic? You would definitely be a woods ninja.

That's beautifull. Would love to see it assembled with the valve and everything else.

We should have a directory for companies who do this kind of finishing, as well as anodizing and powder coating. That should be stickyed on either the BST Dealers forum or the Tech forum.

still would be very hard to see when you are playing, specially if you were to stay still, not moving till it was waaaay to late for the other player. here its easy to see because we are looking for it. great work, one last question. if you took aprt a classic valve and sent it to them, you think that would work and able to be done without having trouble with the valve?

When we started , he said as long as it can be sealed off & put under water it could be done , most of the stuff he does is trip :wow: , alligator skulls , pig skulls , dear antlers with skull plates , firearm, stocks , atv parts , he just did a set of carbon fiber airboat props & made them look like real wood

Any idea on durability of the finish?

When this is done it will be taking the Primary gun position from my other Warp fed X Mag , if I'm not using it there other capable hands that will be , part of my plan with this gun it to check the durablity of the coating

1 day & nobody has noticed :ninja:

The hydrographics come put looking great. I am interested in knowing how well it holds up.

Is it vinyl, or is it actually a "coloring" process?

What I want to know is why you have a picture of grass here.

Seriously, though, looks pretty good. I like the flow of pattern from one piece to the next.

Well, I see that the clamping ring is still black and so is the detent but I am sure that is not it and there is no valve shown and for the record, I did not see a trigger either.

Nice looking!

I did also happen to notice that there is no breech in the picture of original parts and no warp breech either. That would be nice since you are having a warp done too.

Unless your picture is reversed which I don't believe it is, the detent is on the "passenger" (wrong) side. ;)

All my X mags have the detent on the "drivers" side. :D

Smoothice

I haven't looked at my x in awhile...

Looks like the detent is behind the feedtube instead of in front?

Also looks like you have a toggle switch to turn the electronics on and off.

And I still don't see a trigger...

Edit: just looked at a pic.

my detent is on the other side also...

don't go re-wording my answer. Since the valve isn't in the breach is backwards.

When he dipped it , the breech was in backward , so the pattern is off when it is installed correctly

Yikes, so whose to blame for the mistake? :ninja:
What are you’re options available for something like that going wrong?
Are you just going to leave it as is, or would you have to redo the whole process on the whole marker again to fix just that one mistake? Whose paying for a mistake redo anyways, if the company doing it screwed up and not you? Any insight on that from the company doing it?
Looks awesome otherwise. Good luck testing it out. :shooting:

If the breech is in backward, how did you get the barrel in? I thought the barrel would only go in if the breech was in the correct way.

maniacmechanic

not sure whos to blame for the backward breech , i'm not worried about it and am leaving it like it is

the barrels not all the way in

I'm wondering if it will function properly with the paintballs not dropping in the correct spot and the detent behind the paint when it falls.

No. Besides those 2 problems. The barrel can't thread in far enough. And the valve can't be installed.

bringin this up again cause a couple guys had a question or two
1 , the guy did this soooo cheeeeep you would never get someone to that cheep
2 , someone ask me how it is holding up , well to be honest , :sleeping: I haven't played a game with it

Here is a link for the owner of the field my team plays out of
http://www.liquidimagecamo.com/index.shtml

I've seen a few markers he has done , the work seemed good & they seem to be holding up well & the one fellow works his marker pretty hard
