Most everyone that reads AO with any regularity by now is familiar with the Magnus M-90 Emancipator (http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=248020) frame that will be distributed by Tunaman.

What a lot of people, even at Tunaball 4, didn't know though... is that BigEvil diabolically has commissioned a small batch of them to house a system like the Hyperframe or DevilMag frames, powered by a Universal T-Board (UTB). One of these frames was part of the prize awarded to the winner of the Venom Challenge (http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=250728) at Tunaball 4. That prize isn't complete yet... Fortunately, Big Evil had a working model for the event!

I first got to moles... I mean try it out at the chrono Friday afternoon... and I don't think there was anyone around without a big grin. We dumped a lot of paint down the range.

The quality of the machining is great, even more evident since the frame in question hadn't been anodized yet. Other than the internals, the only distinction the EM-90 has to separate it from the M-90 is having "BEO MAFIA" engraved above the trigger guard on the left side, and vertical grooves cut down the back and front of the frame. The latter being nice for grip, since I wasn't wearing gloves this weekend and this frame was fitted with panels.

On/Off and programming is done through a membrane pad, mounted on the back of the frame. There is also an LED indicator mounted below the pad.

The trigger is solid. No side to side slop at all. BigE had it tuned very nicely, even my slow fingers were able to get it ripping. Very, very easy to get a nice walking rhythm going!

My quote from the field was "if you want to find me follow the sound of maniacal giggling" after shooting a couple strings...

During phase 2 of the Tunaball Scenario I dumped half a case in about 10-15 minutes... and this was probably light compared to others using it throughout the day. It was seriously battle tested, and didn't skip a beat (rather awesome seeing as the paint we put through it on the chrono range friday was the first it had ever shot)!

So great work Big Evil, hopefully we'll see some of these make it out to market!

I am still gathering parts like triggers, grips panels and all of the hardware, and im really not sure of an exact number yet. All I know is they wont be cheap. Oh, and I forgot to mention it took me 2 hrs just to wire and assemble it, not including tuning :tard:

My guys will get first dibs, but I should have one or two for sale to the public. Also, I am giving one to Tuna which he is using to build something real special with :ninja:

Thanks Fred for the stellar review. Glad you liked it, and Im even happier that it worked and we didnt have to go back to the drawing board.

So far, the best line I got was from Lasrsktr, who said he dreamed about it on the flight back home from TB4 :D

Fred...

Agree hands down...

One thing I will add to this..

I've owned this:
http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u110/lasrsktr/Paintball/0191.jpg

Thats right...The Dallara Devilmag
http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u110/lasrsktr/Paintball/IMG_6724Large.jpg

that frame was one of the best that was ever produced (for the people lucky enough to get one from his hands)

so back to the EM-90..

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u110/lasrsktr/Paintball/Tunaball4297.jpg

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u110/lasrsktr/Paintball/DSC_0391.jpg

About 89% of the time I have a pump in my hands, but I just needed to try out this frame in a game since playing with it at the Chronograph was just to much fun.

I proceeded to waste far more paint in a few games then I usually use in a couple days of play... But hell I flew to NJ for TunaBall and it wasn't like the paint was going to fly back with me to Los Angeles....

This frame that The Magnus group has put together has to be the best frame ever thought out and created for a mag!

And I say that lightly as there have been a few good pieces put out and if the EM ripper every shows it self to the light of day I believe this frame will still be one of the most sought after due to the compatibility of the frame to any and every mag you want to create.

That said...

I am laying down and letting this frame kill my wallet... It needs a special marker built for it to look better than the Devilmag it has replaced (without the devilmag knowing it was replaced when I sold it  )

Good Job to those who made this frame!

Scott.... your soldering will get better :shooting:

Sorry cowboy. The mills they were machined on aren't kosher.

You have to earn your place in the Mafia. This ain't no CC deal. Not just any punk is allowed to be in on it. And clicking register damn sure isn't enough.

Acceptance into BEO comes in waves and in each wave there are trials. For instance. Sterling, Twilight and Altec were "jumped in" to the mafia. Goose and Redic had to assault a man. As for Fred, well he was "Blessed in". Yes he's that UBER.

I think these next trials, if you want in, you must fluff BE, but don't worry, they won't look down upon you too much. Remember, you're only ***** if you do it twice. ;)

I don't think they just accept any jabroney lurking on the forums.

Besides, I'm sure there is already a list of capos higher in the chain waiting to get a hold of one of these.

Capice?

You guys are looking it at the wrong way!

As far as I know, a new mafia member should bring some new assests to the group, right? Either it's force (he works as a killer) or sales and new businesses. Well, being in Brazil, I can expand the group locally and bring it to a whole new level. I could always make the BEO mafia an international group. Now, how about that? LOL

LOL There is no such thing as "enough Mags" LOL

Now, seriously, I've modded a UMF to work exactly like this on my Israeli Mag but I'm having two problems with it:
- the noid is wider than the frame so I need to make some space onto the Eclipse grips, which isn't really that easy for me
- the valve was anodized and now has a HUGE leak, which I just couldn't fix. I'm having it sent to Tuna this week hoping he can fix it

This way, I can tell you that although I love that marker, it's becoming a disapointment (two years assembling it already). Now, when I saw this new frame, I just thought of having it installed onto my Chord Mag with the internals from the UMF. That way, I could have a working purelly electro Mag quite easier. And then I would just pneu the UMF and have my Israeli Mag also working easier and faster (assuming Tuna can fix the valve).

Anyways, I do have too many Mags and need to "justify" investing a little bit more on them LOL

So back to the original topic...

Fred and Lasrsktr: since I did not get a chance to test the frame myself last weekend, what is it about this frame that induces maniacal laughter?
Is it the UTB software? Ergonomics of the frame? Too much Yuengling? :D
All of the above?

UTB software = meh, but it does what its supposed to do
Ergonomics = as good as the M90. Grips are a little thicker for the solenoid pocket.
Too much Yuengling? is there ever too much?

1. Its Emag performance, without Emag weight. Its also stupid fast.
2. Didn't play with anything but semi, I pulled the trigger, it shot, every time. Very comfy frame.
3. No such thing.
