How much difference is there in air efficiency between LVL7 AND LVLX ? I was curious to know because my current project is only getting about 900 shots off of a 68/45 and I would like to be able to get closer to around 1200-1300 if possible. I had one X that I could get around 1300 shots off of a 68/45 before, but the one I am using now doesn't.

are you underboring too?
some claim that it makes a difference

No dry firing, correct?

Barrel length (including porting) the same as before?

No I'm not under boring, just boring to what ever size the paint is. Also, that was 900 shots dry firing. My main concern is lvl7 that much more air efficient than lvlx? If it is I can install eyes and go back to lvl7, see where I'm going with this?

I really wouldn't worry until you try it with paint. Lvl 10s gulp air dry firing. They retain significant chamber pressure with paint, instead of venting every shot. With a decent fill, my RT will do 1100 with paint, but if I mess around dry firing, I don't get on the field without considering how much extra I just lost.

It's so rare to find a field that has a good 4500psi fill around here (even hot), I can't say what a top fill would give me. The place I had one didn't have a final battle that would let me dump that much paint at once (I normally carry 800 rounds).

Without dry firing, there's not much difference in efficiency between the two bolts. Probably about the same as changing your barrel bore.

I think lvl 10s encourage dry firing when you test and tune them. I never dry fired my level 7s much except for shooting oil.

automags use about 30% more air dry firing the normal cycles. that combined with a .003 undrerbore should get you up to 1200-1300. thats about where my 2 level 10 guns shoot.

The local field here does a monthly big game series, and they do constant re-insertions, so I carried around 1300rnds for those games. Maybe I'll top of the tank before I go home today and shoot try it out with paint tonight, and see what I get out of it. I was mainly just curious on how much of a difference there is between the 2 in efficiency.

Well i shoot a lv6 but i don't shoot as fast with it.
I would say i get more out of my lv6 then i do with my 10 bolt.
But it's a small difference.very small.
