Thanks to Loguzzzzzz and Flyingpootang for showing us the dump chamber devolumizing details! I did that and wanted to add something else to try...

I always wanted fins for a classic regulator for CO2. So I measured the reg thickness and some asa's and figured I would donate 1/8" of an aluminum reg back to my theories. I took this pump

The heat transfer should be about fifteen times better than the stock reg. Since it runs with a 9oz bottle usually, the reg has a chance to get chilly.

Actually, the material is 15 times better in the first place. There's about a 50% increase in the surface area (not counting the back face) with the fins.

lol i wanted a lightwieght back reg also but was to lazy to make one so i bought this one

It looks like half of an Air America reg.
