I've been looking around at what's new in the Mag world since the last time I checked in around 2001. I think when I was playing regularly the Automag RT was the hot property.

I'm still sitting with a 68 Classic, but the thing I love about Mags is that they're so upgradeable. Bits and pieces and I can upgrade my gun a part at a time. I'll probably add the level 10 bolt next. Then probably an intelliframe, then maybe a ULE mainbody so I can switch to cocker threaded barrels. Then an XValve, and I think the only part I'll still have original is the rail.

After that, though, what's left except to go electric?

I know the e-mag isn't available anymore, but it seems like you could make one from parts available still from AGD and a few dealers.

I saw the devilmag upgrade, but it looks like that isn't made anymore either.

Is anyone still actively making electo upgrades for the automag?

It won't be an issue for me for a long time, but I'm just wondering what the upgrade path is.

I love my automag and I can't imagine switching to another brand, even after all these years. When I look at the designs of other markers out there, they all seem utterly overengineered just to produce speed that AGD has been able to do entirely mechanically for a decade, even if the average player can't pull the trigger that fast (which is what the electronic upgrade is for in the first place).

You can get the X-valve with the LX bolt pre-installed. Worth it from what I understand.
IF you can track one down, you can get a Centerflag Hyperframe.
