Starting with the mag on the left: pretty enough, but it could be improved

Sand, Mask and hang

Couple coats of primer, with plenty of time to dry in between

Overall its a bit shiny, but thats probably because its got like five coats of enamel on it. So hopefully it will be strong enough also.

Its got a nice feel to it though, and its a lot nicer looking now that it all matches instead of some pieces being black, some silver, some blue, some carbon fiber.

Now I just need to do the barrel and call it good.

So thing can flake if you remove something?

Nah, I disassembled it completely already, nothing seemed to start flaking or coming off.

Nice finish, but did you want to hide your rail milling?

why didn't you paint each piece individually?

I like the textured finish :D

Spider: there's nothing special about the rail milling to look at. Its a Cyberave rail (I think), the lightest rail you can buy. Yes, lighter than an alpha. Thats why its on there. I was going for the lightest possible parts.

Cato: I didn't paint each piece individually because that takes longer, is trickier, and if you don't mask everything PERFECTLY, there will be gaps in the paint where the anno shows through. This way, there was no way there could be any gaps.

U need a ccm no pro feedneck, dw barrel and dw foregrip to be the LIGHTEST I can think of, lol

It's definitely different. And Rudz, I think he does have a DW foregrip underneath the bike grip. Would be interested to see how well it holds up to wear and tear and paint stains.

Well, lightest with some considerations. I've got a Stiffi outside with primer drying on it, and thats a DW foregrip on there. Its just got a bike grip on top since I have a hard time grabbing the thin smooth carbon fiber with my gloves. And I wanted a cam-lock feedneck, not a hex wrench bolt feedneck.

If you get a chance, I really recommend trying out DuraCoat. My 10 year old classic was showing it's age so I decided to give it a face lift. It came out better than I could have possibly hoped for and so far the finish has proven to be extremely durable.
