Has anyone successfully moved the placement of the grip frame on a mag. Specifically i was wondering if its possible to move the grip frame closer to the back of the rail. I know that this would mean mounting it differently, as in screw location.

Any and all opinions and advice will be appreciated :)

I've not tried what you are talking about. But, I'm currently working a mag with basically the same end result. I'm removing and capping the rear portion of my valve. After this is done you can cut off the excess length of the rail. This will shorten the distance between the rear of the frame and the end of the rail. After this is done you just have to run a regulator between the air tank and the valve to keep the velocity in check.

Look for the polished v1 Chord PneuMag that Loguzzzz put together earlier this year.
He did exactly what you are looking to do with an E-Mag frame.

found it! http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=250296

Cheers for finding that for me Twilight, to actually see what i have had in my head for some time is good, gives me some good reference points to work from. Just got to get my hands on the stock needed to start this.

although something tells me my attempt will look like Frankenstein's monster compared to Log's mag.
