^^^LOL I know how that goes. I've been playing for 17 years now and I only have a handful of pictures of myself playing. I was lucky to get those two I posted, somebody at the scenario shot them and posted them on our local site.

I've *almost* gone as far as staging some pictures and having someone take some nice, high quality photos of me, but I haven't gone that far yet... :D

Here's the only one I have of myself; it's from Castle Conquest XXV in '06. I'd have more, but the Tac One has been with Tunaman since last March :cry:.

I allegedly ended up in a lot of the footage shot for a commercial by the local field in September. I wish I could have been repping AGD for that one.

Those are from most of the events I've done. I tend to get photo'd a lot, not sure why. Could be because the warp attracts attention, could be I'm in the right place at the right time... It's rare I don't find any of me at all, part of my gun or my head or just me standing in the staging area is at least in one album from every game I go to where there is a photographer. Even LL3 where I ran 2 missions because I came down with severe heat exhaustion, I am still in 2 pics I've found shooting my T2...

edit: Well Mr. PhD. student, being so eager to jump on me for being stupid, unsafe, and a bad example to all unenlightened individuals everywhere... I suppose you failed to consider that maybe the MOUT house was still 20 minutes away from being cleared hot by our Observer/Controllers and it would be nearly half an hour before we radioed for them to send any Cadets through to engage us. Not only that, but the only cadre with paint in the MOUT house at the time was me, because I brought my own. The rest of the department had their paint still in boxes, sitting in that room off to the left. After being cleared hot, everyone inside the MOUT area puts their masks on and they stay on until it goes cold, or you physically exit the area by going over the dirt berms.

Please consider the fact that you are not the only one thinking about "monkey see monkey do" safety issues. I personally don't feel that this picture crosses the line. However, if a moderator disagrees and feels this picture is in bad taste, I will gladly remove the photo.

edit 2: I am well aware of field rules and procedures for public/recreational play. However, this is not a public or recreational area and the way things work here are different. This is a county owned facility for LE training and they are kind enough to occasionally loan it out to the local ROTC department.

I used to wear it a lot several years ago. I have never been shot in the face or the ears while wearing it. The irony is that the only time I've ever been shot in the ear... I was wearing a full JT Spectra mask. My teammate shot me from behind, about 6" away. I would have put that picture in the "worst paintball bruise thread" but I never got a photo of it.

In fairness to him, I hadn't yet put up the text below the pictures explaining it. He didn't realize this was part of a training exercise for 60 or so cadets and not a "game," per se. There are far more safety measures put into place than what you see at most paintball fields, even though the traditional "on the field," "off the field," "dead zone," or "safe" locations do not work the way we think of them in recreational play.

I trust the safety of my eyeballs far more in that MOUT house than I do at some established fields I've been to.

However, I was quite irritated to see that in the few posts he's made since '03, the latest is his condescending rush to jump down my throat "for being stupid" instead of just thinking about what might actually be going on in the picture for a minute. I guess he just really wanted that 60th post.

Skinnyhare: if you notice, you said you were the only one with paint and you have your barrel bag off and mask off while every one else is got a mask on. Im just pointing out what i see, so dont get mad at me. Out here in colorado, you keep your mask one when your on the field AT ALL TIMES, UNLESS you are in a screened off area and are 100% protected. If you get caught with your mask of, yeah people will yell at you but if a ref sees it.... PUNCH #1 on your player card.
