Does anyone know anything about them?

When are they going to be released?

Any kind of info of them?

I really really want one, because I love the matrix but I wanted like an LCD, thanks in advance. :)

Probably wont come out, I hear they are being sued. WDP has a patent on LCD screens for paintball guns or somin. Thats why the Emag has an LED screen ;)

ENDO!

This does sound pretty silly.

I know they had some at the Mardi Gra and that they should be out soon. The LCD matrix should come with a bolt kit and PBC regulator I think the cost on them has gone up though to around 900 to 1000 dollars though.

Here is some info on the new Matrix. This is definately a marker to watch. The new Matrix is "suppose" to be out within the next month or two.

I wonder if AGD has put the matrix on the gun dyno. It may be the best gun out there today.

Apart from for looks and efficiency... :)

It is a great gun to shoot though.

have you ever seen the tequilla matrix. that is by far the best looking gun there is. there are a couple pics of them on pbnation.

Yes I've seen it. I know the guys behind Aardvark paintball :) But it's still not good looking when compared to other available guns such as the Autococker, Angel and E-mags. :)

I think the tequila matrix looks way better than any angel, cocker, or especially emag. They have the spped of an angel accuracy of a cocker, and the efficency can be solved by a bolt kit. The new ones come with it and supposed to get 1200 from a 68/4500. I own an emag too.

LOL!!! :p

matrices are not at all like shockers... they may be hogs like them and shoot a bit like them but they do not look like them or weigh has much as a shocker... i think matrices are very nice guns and easily compete with all the top guns out there today..

as for the LCD, word is on the matrix forum at pbnation is that they are being made now and will be forsale in the short future...

:D

nutz I put together the first ever prototype Matrix LCD with Dave from Aardvark, at the World when Richmond from Diablo handed us the prototype board.

It is the coolest LCD board yet! The prototype said 'POW' everytime you pulled the trigger. I hope that is one feature they keep for the production models.

The new bolt kit is better, but it still isn't as efficient as many other guns.

Don't get me wrong I think it is a great gun and love shooting it, but it could be better :)

Is it BS that it can get 1200 from a 68/4500?

I don't honestly know. I haven't done a proper test on the new bolt kit set up. But I was shooting one at the World Cup trying out different hoppers and stuff.

Getting two bags of paint (1000 balls) was pretty much what I was getting. But then I wasn't doing a proper count and test and checking the fill etc.

It is way better than it was originally but still doesn't compare to my Sov II or my Autococker by any means :)

Yeah I am not doubting that, but you give a little you take a little, ya know?

I am not going to cry over a little less shots but its a lot of shots which really scared me.

And I know you said you didn't really fully test it out yet, but would you reccomend a 88/4500? :)

Thanks in advance.

Yes absolutely if that size of tank fits you and you are comfortable with it :)

I have 68 and 88 ci tanks. And I like both. I have no problems using the 88 sizewise so it's what I often use.

I am very curious as to how it will review. The only thing that I was sceptical about the Matrix was its rotten efficiency. If what they are saying is true (about the new bolts) then it's definitely better. Granted it won't be the most efficient marker but it's a lot more competitive with what is out there. It's also nice to see that Airtech/Diablo has gone back to the drawing board to improve the efficiency issue. Look how long the Shocker has been around and there hasn't been much improvement in gas efficiency.

manike

It was actually Greg Duncan from Aardvark Paintball who fixed the efficiency. He doesn't work for Airtech or Diablo. (He did at one point though).

strictly speaking it wasn't airtech/diablo that fixed the
efficiency problem it was an aftermarket company, arrdvark
that did that. They did however sell the rights to the new
design to airtech.
And the LCD going POW just might con me into upgrading my
grip. (everyone has to be a sucker for something)

Ooops...My bad.

Well it is nice to see that the off the rack version is coming out with the more effecient bolt. Sorry if I stepped on any toes.

The only things I see wrong with the gun:

1. effeciency (not a big deal really)
2. looks (not a big deal either)
3. size, bigger than an emag (only real downfall)

It comes with the centerflag reg right? so as long as the electronics keep the bolt movement consistent, the gun must be pretty consistent. And as long as it recharges fast (up to 16 bps) than it has the basic features that make an emag great. Then through in it has lower chamber pressure and less pressure moving the bolt than an emag. And the one out now is cheaper.

I'm not saying that the EMag isn't a great gun, but I think there are a couple major things with the emag that are it's downfall.

the efficancy isn't that bad. You the current stock stock Matrices get about 700-800 out of a 68/45. After bolt mod which some Matrices already come with, you get around 1300 shots with a 68/45.

I guess you could say it looks abit plain... but i do'nt think its ugly at all.

Oh geez, EVERY gun is bigger than the Emag. Comparing to an Angel, the Matrix is only about 1.5" taller.

I think it's a really great gun, it's very accurate, and can't chop paint with a LPR.

That's not 100% true. They can still chop paint but it is much less likely. Greg Handed me his own personal gun and asked me to try and chop... I obliged :)

But it took effort and mostly it just pinched or bounced back off the balls that didn't feed perfectly.

It is the least likely of any gun, without an ACE, to chop paint but it still possible to chop with delicate paint that it catches wrong...

Imagine a lpr matrix with ACE

OH-OH-OH has anyone mentioned lighter than a Cocker yet?
