does anyone know if there is some policy somewhere that you can trade in your standard feed for a powerfeed?

no, there is no policy or program for that, as far as i know.

no the p/f on new guns is $100 more so you need to buy a new body to get p/f

pf bodies pop up in the classifieds all the time. usually pretty cheap. look there, and once you get one, you can unload your sf body to someone who is trying to put together a mag from scratch.
