I've seen some pics with the small freak tip (spiral style)

I'm thinking I might want to get one to shorten up my setup.
I like the crown point style or the spiral style.

So basically I'm hoping to get some feedback from people who have used them.

(though it's got a SS freak back on it now)

I had a 2" WWA tip and my accuracy went down the tubes. I only shoot with 12" and longer barrels now.

They are fine if you are aiming around 50 feet or playing close quarters.

agreed. I have 2 shortened tips, both are custom made. One is 1" and the other is 2.5" and I only use them for CQB setups.

I've had the same experience. Efficiency went to hell, too. Like a difference of 2-300 shots with an X-Valve.

That's not really a Crown Point style tip  I was excited for a second. The Crown Points went the other way, point of the triangle toward the shooter, wider at the business end.

Anyone ever cut down a freak tip?
I think the one I have is 8" Maybe I can make it 4" instead?

I have the different style of tip, no porting, and I haven't seen a difference in performance over one that is longer. Most porting starts at the point where this tip ends, so efficiency should be around the same. At for noise, I don't think it was that loud. My pgp is usually the loudest. By the time they hear the shot anyway, it is too late.
