gas line disconnect for flatline

I've got a flatline coming and it totally dawned on me that I need some way to vent off the pressure after turning the reg off.

Previously I had a Staubli proconnect hooked to my macro line way back in 05 that I sold off back then *DOH*. However it looks like Proconnects have gone the way of the dodo (or aren't as popular?). I see one by PSIWorks, but it's $50 freakin dollars.

I have a slide check on my other marker with a screw in tank. I'm thinking that there's really no point to having it with a screw in.

So my question, should I just move the slidecheck system over to the other mag I'm setting up with the flatline or is there actually any use for it (other than being able to remove the connection at the valve easily) on a screw in setup?

If I'm wrong about Proconnects, please correct me.

I ran into this same issue when I was running a maxflo on my mag. I didn't discover Pro-Connects until after I'd already ghetto rigged an alternative, but they are stll around and kicking. You can find them here:

Another option (what I ended up going with) was using a Trinity on/off, which is designed to be threaded between a tank and an ASA, as a foregrip. I just threaded that into my vertical adapter with a reg extender threaded into the bottom of that and boom; instant on/off degassing foregrip.

Well my screw in has an on/off ASA. The main question there was is there any point to having a slidecheck on that marker at all? I think it may be a remnant from when that marker had a flatline on it, but honestly I can't remember it's been so long.

I think I'll order a couple macro elbows and macroline from Tuna and move my old slide check/ss hose/elbows over to the 'new' mag for the flatline.

somebody awhile back put a T fitting on a armageddon tank. one side went to the gun and the other to a vent ball valve
