Psychoballistics has released a barrel that lets you adjust the barrel bore by twisting a locking mechanism and tightening the bore down. It actually looks pretty interesting if the barrel was'nt so ugly. But the price is pretty good (around $130) and the design seems pretty sound.

I wanna see a cross section of how they are saying it works. If there is a rubber bladder in there and it looks a lot like my Rabbit device they are in deep Do Do! :D

interesting concept, but i'd rather not have a giant seam running the entire length of my barrel. sounds more than a bit problematic, kudos to them on the attempt though.

There are a few movies of the barrel on the site as well. It did'nt look like seam ran the whole length but it was hard to tell. The seam thing did put me off a bit, too, though.

it looks to me like the slot runs for the entire "effective" length of the barrel, the back half.

Yea, I guess it does. Hard to tell with the jiggling camera. Thanks for the still.

nice concept but i think that seam may shred paint.

Interesting… I was actually thinking about the same type of concept a while back but could not figure out how to eliminate either a tapering effect, or that seam. I too think it may be problematic with paintballs running down that…. I would however be interested in hearing any test results.

you break any type of paint whatsoever in that thing, you'd never get it clean. there goes the accuracy.

I think if the seam was such a problem in the performance of the barrel, the concept probably wouldent have gotten past development stages. Also looking at it, theoretically the seam could prevent side spin by holding the ball on track. Intresting idea IMO.
