View Full Version : Check It Detents and Dallara body

What is the best way to put this in? May seem like an odd question, but not really. If I screw the threaded part into the detent cap and then into the Dallara body, the detent balls do not seem to push deep enough into the breach to be effective. If I take the threaded part and screw it into the body until it is flush with the inside of the body and then put the cap on, it seems better. Seems to still have enough pressure on the detent ball as well. Should I do this with a little bit of blue threadlock on the threads to keep them from backing out? Shoudl I put another O-ring inside the cap to keep the spring tension higher or just stretch out the spring?

Any help is appreciated.

My plan for my 2k9 is option 2.

Going to set the 'body' of the detent flush with the breech and threadlock it into place.

I take it you got yours fine then? :D

Yes, got them in today. Thanks Frank!. You think Blue loctite should do it?

Yeah, just be sure to let it dry before you put the cap on, and don't crank it down too hard I'm thinking.
