Picked up a E-frame that the seller described as an E-micro frame. Trying to get some info on it. Were there specific frames make for E-micros? I have another E-Mag frame and it did/does not have the finger grooves in the front of the frame, nor did it have the set screw in the front of the frame to keep the batter tight. Was the frame produced by PTP for the E-Micro, or did it just get some slightly different milling? I noticed the back part has some different milling and there isn't the typical lasering for the modes near the selector switch. Were there special grip panels made for these? The Lukes ones that I bought with it don't seem to fit very well. The holes line up, but the panels seem to be a bit wide, especially where the finger grooves in the front are. I had thought about getting this ULE milled, but if it was something special, I may just leave it alone.

That sounds like a Micro-E frame. They were just stock humpback frames with finger groove milling and some other slight differences. I'm a PTP fanboy but I think they all look terrible (at least with regards to the grips, which were stock) and while they're wicked comfortable compared ULE or Humpback lowers they're just not for show.

Oh, yeah, they are very comfortable. It's not just for show. I HATE the feel of standard e-mag grips now.

Looking at this, I think the front set screw may be home grown since it was not anodized over.

The other E-frame that I had got slightly jacked in the reano process and the safety would not fit back in. I have heard several complaints that the safetys on these were crap and I see that Robert has his removed. What was the isse with these? Honestly, before the others got screwed up the safety was fine, and the safety on these seem to be ok. What's the deal?

Maybe since they seem to not be real common, I'll leave them as is, and put them on my MM2K9 if/when I finally get it.

Guess I can check with Luke to see if he can make something gripwise that fits better.

Mine came without the safety. I'm guessing it didn't work well or something. I've never had one for it.

I've seen humpback grips for these. I've made a different set than in those photos for mine, but they would be expensive to reproduce. A lot of man hours goes into them.
