Just wondering how Docs Mag-Cocker adapter is. Any issues with the QC and is he a fast shipper ? I know he's been around a long time, but back in 2004 when I wanted to order a Fast Back cocker from him, he never returned any emails I sent. Just want to make sure the customer service is there. Otherwise I'll look at buying a Freak Back.

But a freak back.

The advantage of these are that these will adapt for L/R/or CF twistlocks. The detent is just a spyder style. I didn't have any issues with it, but if you are looking to use it and a AC freak back, you are better off just buying a freak back like BigE said.

Ive got one from my buddy, so i do not have any experience dealing with doc. But, what i can tell you, it is made very well.

Well Ive got a Kaner kit and Shift Kit. These adapters are $40 and the Freaks are $70+ Inserts. I used to own a Freak kit and found the inserts to be poorly sized, and the last thing I want is to buy another kit if I can avoid it.

This is a more expensive option but I like the Ule bodies, you get a better detent and you can use cocker barrels.

I just bought a classic RT so the UL body isn't an option.

Just check on the online store if he's got them in stock. I think someone else runs that part of the biz. As long as there are some in stock you should be able to get yours pretty quick.

His QC is top notch his shipping email response not so much. I have never heard a complaint about his parts as long as you are patient.

Yea I ordered one from him, and while the machining is great and everything, it does take a while to get in contact with him. I did notice that there was a slight bit of chatter on mine, but that may have been the body. Overall, unless you really want a classic body and multiple barrels, then dont bother, either save you money and get a ule body, or just get the freak back.

Do yourself a favor, buy a freak back and some of tymcneer's brass inserts. He sells them in .670, .675, .680. I have just the 675 and 680 and wont ever use my stainless freak inserts again!

As much as I'd like to buy a ULE body, they won't fit the RT Classic (according to the AGD site).

Have you thought of a Python kit?

Does great to stop rollouts and such, and probably does about as much good as any other barrel kit does for efficiency and accuracy, PLUS lets you use cocker barrels.

I run one on my last twist lock mag, and can't say enough good about the quality or the company.

I actually emailed Python this morning to see if they have just the back for sale as I already have the iFit kit. That'd be my best option I think.
