My brother and I decided that we'd go play a game of paintball some time this spring when it's a little warmer. This means getting a few much-needed items, such as masks to replace our 2002 spectras and some tanks , since my n2 expired in 2005.

So , we started looking at some of the wonderful equipment on the market, and were pretty surprised at how craptacular guns are in terms of HPA usage. I know back in 'the day' , we could performance tune more than a few markers (Cockers, BM2ks and similar setups) to well over 2,000 shots per 68/45, and in two cases , over 3,000 per 68/45. DYE was advertising that one of their new markers got a 'spectacular' 1800 shots per 68/45 tank..........Is this seriously the norm now?

2100 per 68/45 it seems............Decent , but I'm not impressed, although I imagine with some tweaking you should be able to get it up more.

you need the ninja SLP(super low pressure) regulator on the G6R to get the maximum efficiency

I'm talking to my brother about what all we did , if memory serves me right , it was on a b2k we modded. Around 2500 on a bushmaster 2000 , 2k or so on an autococker.

Yeah well according to reviews and videos it the Bob long G6R or the New Angel ARK both are way above any other marker so far.

I had a cocker I built with an older CCM body, Shocktech valve, Dark Horizon hammer, and AKA delrin bolt. Ran around 175 psi. Got close to 800 rounds off with a 48/3000 tank at 290+ fps.

Honestly? The most accurate marker on the market right now is the Angel SB - With the magno internals, new D-Lite cupseal, new Boost2 bolt and "new" STR ram, you can get close to 2500 good shots out of a 68/45 tank right out of the box. That's bone stock - technically you can get any A1 or A1 Fly made to perform at that level by upgrading the parts mentioned above; they're fully compatible.

If anybody can think of any playable marker that efficient, let me know. I had a Tippmann that ran on propane and got like 3 cases off one tiny tank, but it took a good few seconds to re-cock and was difficult to keep chrono'ed... I mean traditional, playable markers.

Vanguard Creed gets a hopper and 13-15 140rd pods(2020-2300) per 68/45. which is way more than I will ever shoot in one game. Heck Im lucky to shoot that much in one day.

I get about the same with my Excal - something like 2100 in ideal settings.

Still gotta give my vote to the A1/A1 Fly/AR:K/SB series.

i would love to see some videos with these kind of numbers. not manufatueres videos, but private owners guns. the g6r we shot in the break-in test didn't get 2000 rounds per 68/45, thats for dang sure.

also, no gun ever can get 3000 shots (at full velocity) out of a 68/45, there isnt enough energy in the tank to do it, you would have to have an above 100% effienecy of expansion. the limit is 2600-2700 IIRC

Any figures on what to expect efficiency wise out of a Mini?
