Sitting around a little unmotivated to work so I started tinkering around. I have a couple of projects out getting work done, so I have some spare parts laying around. Tossed some parts from various projects together for some FrankenMag goodness. Anyone else want to play? Look through your spares and throw together something funky. Here's my "throwtogethers":

Damn you are making me want to get rpg frame. MMMmm I have a few parts but nothing that I would consider strange.

Thats where all the vert feed bodies are.... sitting collecting dust and crud in the bottom of people's tool boxes.

I dont have enough spare parts to even call spare parts anymore :(

I fully intend to use this actually. Since no one will trade me for one that is already cut, I plan on cutting it down and puttin a clamping feedneck on it.

So sad. I was hoping it wouldnt happen to that when I sold it. It took 2 years to find a uncut one. Can I get the feed cup when you cut it. I could use that for a project.

It can always be repaired. Pretty sure Lukes or someone could resolder a full length feed tube back on it. I figured people would jump at the chance to swap me plus some cash, but can't seem to find takers. I'll be keeping the feedtube bucket in case someone wants to return it to stock.

This really wasnt meant to turn into a For Sale thread. I have plans for all of the items in the pics, it was meant more of a fun thread to see what other throwtogethers people could come up with.

Lol paging Runamok... Runamok where are you??

I just sold the guy a ULE to complete his RandoMag (he called it something else but when he described it I suddenly wanted Skittles).

I guess I'm on the outside looking in on this one, I haven't got a full set of spares, but I do have a micro that I wanted to make into a milsim blaster. I suppose I could chuck my Qloader on it somehow and call it a day... must be nice to just have a RPG chimera laying around as spares  sick grips!
Love the thread idea (you get a nanner), and yeah if you have a WTB, make a thread or put it in a PM cuz... no need to threadjack a brother.

Don't be too jealous. I purchased it off of Ebay a couple of years ago when I was first getting into Mags. The frame was gloss black and the picture posted had some really nice clear red panels on it. Some mention of a milling attempt for a pneu setup. When I got it, there were no panels, no safety, and the 'milling" also included a burn through on the back part of the frame where the space between your forefinger and thumb rest. Also the area that was milled out for the Pneu piston went into the hole where the spring and screw would keep the safety in, so it's fubar as well. In otherwords, it's far from pristine and unanodizeable. One of the main reasons I am not trying to sell it and just using it as tinker fodder.

Lol well then... pictures truly are quotes taken out of context (a saying one of my photo professors used to say). Bummer you got hosed on what should've been a good buy. Dang eSlay...

I've got a good example of a chimera... but she's featured on a mag that I wouldn't describe as "thrown together"...

I wanna see what ole RulerMark can come up with on this... I'll shoot him a text or something.

I have a tendency to tinker with doing some of my work room customs. This is a group of separate projects that I assembled for fun. Fitted to me L-stock, Trigger frame that I never liked having the trigger guard cut off of if I can find one of the old double triggers that caused the trigger removal I'll make a 1-1/2 trigger , ASA that's two hole tapped for a gauge and air line,RT rail I got in trade that someone else had remodeled on I had some milling done on it, Z drop that the end got mangled and I smoothed it down, Barrel (trade again) that someone wanted short I think it started as a stock Invert barrel, I had two CP regs sitting around neither worked but two halves do make a whole, and to top it all off A ULE I got from Trevor. The prettiest thing on it are the custom rosewood grips . I may add a pump kit and then wait for a valve and a lightning storm. Throw the switch Igor!!! Oh! I'm making a new safety for it it'll be a lever type that works like the AR-15's flip down =fire, up= safe. And please don't ask me explain the CP on/off with the drop out changer cause I don't know.

I had some 1.125" 6061AL stock lying around... so I threw this mag together after cleaning it up on the lathe/mill a bit.
I uses a Mag rail... does it still count as a "mag"?

I miss the days of having enough parts around to build multiple autocockers, Sniper IIs and mags....

Believe me, if you had to look through all the boxes I did to re-discover the parts . You wouldn't miss it at all. In fact I was looking for something totally non-Paintball when I ran across the frame and rail and was sucked back into trying to make it work. An experiment in Artificial Stupidity.I'm still noodleing an idea for a pin valve on a 12 gr drop out so I can save partial 12 grams between uses. There is no cure for what I've got.

Pneumagger.. exactly was is that?

Pneumagger

Just a spool valve/body to fit mag lowers. Cocker threads and aka feedneck. It's mechanical... uses a trigger activated 4way. I never got around to making it electronic.

Thotograph

Don't go electro... mech spools are RAD! Also pretty rare I suppose... IIRC there's what 3 that were factory made including mags (counting all AGD guns as one varietal)? Nova's, mags and ICDs Desert Fox. Any others? RM was trying to make a mechanical Quest a while back

Is that an FEP Quest bolt? Looks alot like one... whatever it is it's pretty cool. Hope it gets built

Pneumagger

It's a bolt I designed and machined. I designed the marker sometime early 2007. My goal was a design improvement on the shocker without all those orings and parts. Only two parts & five orings. I showed the design to a buddy and he goes, "It's an FEP Quest." I asked... WTF is an FEP Quest?!? and found out that the concept already existed. :( Oh well, I came up with it on my own so I built it anyways. Screw the quest.

It runs at a higher pressure than a quest (I think) because the parts/volumes are smaller.
Since those pictures it's been hardcoat anodized black and I have a redesigned bolt guide that should offer more efficiency if I can ever get around to testing it again.

And it does work. Fast forward to the 5 minute mark of this 3 1/2 year old video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xri1b4kpRcE&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
Behemoth and I bolted a cocker slider frame to the rail and zip-tied a 3way to the rail as well. Ghetto fabulous.
The bolt looks slow because the trigger is controlling the bolt (just like an autococker). One of the crappy regs was whistling for some reason.

I'm currently working on building another electronic mag valve that Uses AGD bolts and an MQ valve just for fun.
