Good morning to all. I got a brand new x-valve installed by tuna with a ULT. Anyhow i played yesterday and i noticed it is extremely easy to short stroke. In fact i did it several times a game. I almost never had this issue with my classic valve. Is there some tuning i need to do?
I just a side note i am not having any shoot down(when i am not short stroking) issues and i have using a pure engery 68/4500.
thanks

you need to pull the trigger all the way back and fully release each pull

So i guess there is a learning curve with comparison of the x-valve :)
Thanks

Thanks for the advice! It just odd that last time i had my old mag that i sold w/ x-valve(3 years ago). I do not recall having having a noticeable short stroking issue at all. But i will keep plugging along.

if you still have the original on/off, you could just swap it out.
another option is to have Luke modify your sear. Basically drills a new hole for the clevis slightly higher than stock location. Ever-so-slightly increases the trigger pull force but also reduces short-stroking (does not eliminate it though)

Trigger stops help too.

Is this mod you suggested only for the ULT set up or is it also compatiable with the stock on/off valve?
Thanks. :ninja:

This is the modification discused in the thread I posted. This is best for ULT since it will shorten the pull but also make it heavier. With a regulat on/off you may not like the added force needed to pull the trigger.

I reinstalled the standard on/off due to short stroking... I just could not get used to it. After i did that I did call Ninja Paintball and sent them my tank and had a 1200 psi regulator put on it:) so now it RT's like a son of a gun... It feels great and can go full auto at 19 bps if need be :headbang:

Thanks for the info. Two questions when you got your adjustable reg did you reinstall the ULT or did you return the original on/off? Also how much was the ninja adjustable reg?
THanks
