Good day team. I have recently became a little interested in angel markers. I can only find them on ansgear.com. So are they down sizing or did they go out of business? Or was it Smart Parts doing?

Thanks :)

They carried the torch for the 3 tube design for far to long. The 05 ego showed that a modern poppit need only a 1.5 tube layout and they have been shrinking ever since. They chose to stick with their trinity design and have an oversized and tall design.

The ram off center from the bore was the next thing, extra sideways torque. The grip was placed farther back to offset that with additional leverage, ala bob long's 2k2.

They were late with eyes. The 1st balanced valve mods showed up in 03-04 but were ignored. No external adjustable lp reg. They were the last gun for a long time that liked lp tanks.

All marked wdp's long slow slide. A gun that was way out in front that was mismanaged. All my 2 cents.....

Too bad. A 2001 LCD was my first and favorite electro I've ever owned.

They still come out with markers every year of so.

They just (last year?) moved their assembly operations back to the UK, so that they have better quality control.

I have an A1 fly. They now like to run at what you might call "moderate" pressure, between 600 and 800 psi. You can often use a little more or less. They eliminated the breech locking rod, but that caused a fuss. So they eliminated the breech (SB model iirc), but that bothers some people too. The AR:K is relatively new.

and

fixmyangel.com seems to get a fair amount of owner traffic.

The magno valve train is pretty interesting. It's silly light and you can tune it for efficiency at about 1800 rounds out of a 68/4500. Mine was inconsistent at that range and I bumped the dwell back up and still went to a 45/4500. I gave up counting rounds; it shoots more than I want to carry.

They still remind me of an old British sports car, lots of parts.

For sure. Sadly, I think that's the market they need (or want).

They were lovely guns, got my 1st in 98. One with a 3 digit number scratched into the beech. I've always been ticked at companies that don't use standard asa threads. My mini reg toasted off in a matter of weeks. Ended up running an old school max-flow straight in like ravi's fav cocker setup. With a tornado valve and tight lapco I was getting 1500 off a cold 68/3k at 285 and a crazy amount off my 114. Was awesome back in the day of bottled air everywhere when you might only get a 2k fill to play a finals game.
