How many fills would I get out of a 80 CF 3000 psi scuba tank if I were filling up 48 CU 3000 psi tank. I heard someone say 2 fills but that doesn't seem right. Maybe it is but I just wanted a little clarification.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure but you might get 2 full fills and then it's going to be not completely full fills as you go down.... not sure though I do know the number of full fills you get isn't a lot....

Yup... you'll probably get 2 fills at close to 3000, then the pressures will start dropping. You'll get many many fills into a 48, however, at 2500 or so...

I don't know...I've got a 51 c.i. (@ 3k) Crossfire tank, with my own scuba fill station (left over from my diving days,) and I can play all day--about 6 hours, without much pressure drop. but then again, with the preset HP tanks, you don't fully fill at the set amount. With my 3k I usually get about 25-28k, so that may be the reason. I think that it ultimately just depends on your HP system.

i played with my 48 this weekend...

first fill was to about 2500....second to about 24, third through 6 about 2200...7th through the rest of the day 2000...

sundays fills were about 1800....about 3-4 times

youll get PLENTY into a 48...lol...you WILL run outta air unless you play front, though

you wont ever get a full 3000 fill from a 3000 tank because the 2 tanks will balance out around 2800 on the first fill and then go doun from there.

ya, with my scuba tank, at 3K, i get 1 3K fill ,then it drops about 150 PSI for eahc remaining fill, its still worht it though, since a scuba fill costs less than a HPA tank fill(3.50)

It is still defintatly worth the investment if you play alot of out-law ball, or pay per fill. I was filling three tanks all weekend (2 68's, and 1 48) and kept pretty consistent at 2000lb's. True you will have to fill your tank about every game or two, but saves a ton of money in the end.
