Before I start talking about how frickin' amazing this frame is, I wanted to just throw it out there that the ingenuity and collective creativity and intelligence on this board are amazing. That people here took the time to understand the mechanical and electrical engineering requirements to build a frame from the ground up, to create pneumangs, electro pneumags, and all kinds of other amazing projects, is outstanding!

That said, the V.E.R. frame made by p8ntbal4me kicks major ass! After only spending a couple of hours tuning up my lvl x and ult, I've managed to get the dwell setting down to 11 on my gun which should make for amazing battery life. I aired it up in semi mode, and worked out all of the kinks, took it outside, and after playing with the firing modes, just clocked it using wav studio at 24 bps. In other words, it RIPS!

That said, P8ntbal4me, who I met here on AO, and never anyplace else, is working on a new project; new EMAG boards. After speaking on the phone for about an hour, I learned that he created the VER frame with the express purpose of raising enough money to create the new EMAG boards. The EMAG boards won't make him much profit, if at all, but that's not his purpose. He's making these boards because the community needs them badly, and this also kicks ass.

So, if he has any more of these frames, get one, and if you have an emag with a dead board, buy a new one from P8ntbal4me!

I have a VER frame and love it as well:

The only thing I don't get is the eMag board people need so much. I mean, I have an eMag with XMOD and it has all the firing modes I'll ever need plus more. Works really, really good. An advantage of having a new board would be the possibility to use a new noid and then get rid of the huge battery pack and a lot of weight. And then again, what do we have? A VER frame! LOL

the answer to your quesiton is that Tuna is out of emag boards with xmods. He's been repairing broken boards, but that is timely, expensive, and sometimes impossible. Pretty soon there won't be any more boards to repair, or the ones that are left will be fried beyond repair. Jai's new board will be a God send for emag owners everywhere.

That's exactly right.

I too have XMOD and I love it.

The thing with XMOD is that it is software, not hardware. There is a difference.

OEM boards are gone. No more to be made.

My intent was to make new boards to replace the non existant stock, and improve on the AGD design.

Think of it this way... if you have an emag today and the board died right now, how many of you will have a spare one kicking around?

My new boards are ment to fill that need, nothing more.

Having had a emag with a fried board I say this rocks !! :headbang:
Crappy feeling when you have a great set of lowers and can't do anything with them. This is something that will be essential to keep emag use alive through the years, and I tip my hat to you sir for taking the time and putting forth the effort to do so.

Now we need to talk Luke into designing a flat black rail that matches this style. I can't draw a straight line with a ruler, otherwise I'd do it myself.
