The cost the same. The only real difference i see is the color :)

Something like that... I believe it went from MSRP $160 to $200, though it was readily available "new" for $130ish before the bump. It was a mid-year price increase so it was a new cost for identical product, not a new generation model.

Yikes. If I'm going to pay a jacked up price like that for a hopper that cost $15 or $20 to make, it better make me icecream and have a built in iPod too.

In today's economy, when a lot of folks are getting stingier and more picky with where their dollars go, you would think that they'd be best served reducing the price a few bucks.

No kiddin, man. Good advice for anyone, I think. With the way performance has essentially plateaued over the past few years, I try to buy all my gear used these days.
