The Goto Gun

I know everyone has their fancy gun or their pretty gun that they use predominately. However, I know with most of the people here probably have a Goto Gun, which comes out and gets aired up when the fancy gun is hiccuping, the pretty gun is getting banged up, or is just not getting the job done. Rarely is it very pretty, and often is rather beat-up, but the Goto Gun never lets you down, always shoots, and ALWAYS gets the job done. Anyways, I am proud to show my Goto Gun in all of its glory and would invite all to do the same. Anyways here it is:

Automag classic, standard feed. Lvl 10 is the only upgrade ever done to it. Bought this bad boy in 1997 and never looked back. Has fired many Tens of Thousands of paintballs (no joke, look at the wear on the barrel) I used this gun so much, I wore the black off the ASA adapter, the black off both sides of the safety, and there is even wear on the front of the expansion chamber from my hands. Never ran anything BUT C02 in it, and it's never frozen up on me. The only part that has ever needed to be replaced was a regulator seat which had the audacity to work for only 10 years. With the Dye 12 inch barrel I bought when I got the gun, I never needed anything else. This gun has accounted for many hurt feelings, and splattered masks throughout the years, due to the patented Beefydan double tap, and may have reached legendary status among novice players in parts of Southern California and Northern Arizona. All in all, it was worth the money then as it is now, and is a testament to the endurance and quality of AGD products. Many thanks to Tom Kaye and all of the other elves at AGD who have helped me squeeze much enjoyment from the practice of slinging paint at others with this piece of paintball history.

This one is my backup and even when i have no issues with my pinstriped beauty I usually end up with this one after the first round. This marker just will not ever get old.

It is electro pneumatic set at 12 bps on the 4th pull, just incase of an agglet. :)

My main gun is my goto:D Just a classic that's been modified pretty extensively, and is still waiting for me to make a foregrip for it:D Have never had it go down, or need anything more than a new o-ring or something:)

My extra guns tend to be loaners, and all my friends love using my loaners, which are setup pretty much like my mag, just different looks and styles:)

Honestly egos aren't really unreliable guns, so it makes sense. Mags don't tend to be, but depending upon the person and the mag, they can be, especially if they bought it from someone who didn't know what they were doing.

I have more than a few markers but for me the MAG always was my shiny loved marker.

My beater was always my Tippmann Pro/Carbine that i have loaned out sold bought back and just beat the bloody snot out of and it just keeps coming back for more. These days it sits hanging on my wall as an Tippmann A5 has taken its place.

This year i picked up my first electro a DP E1 and the mag has kinda been relegated to backup duty BUT some days i will just use it instead as i SOOOOOO damn used to shooting it (have owned it in one form or another for 11+years)

The true beater a Tippmann Pro/Carbine. Its the only gun i have had longer than my Automag and its probably seen the most paint. Its only ever needed an O-Ring for repairs. Its got to be my favourite tippmann ever made and one i will NEVER let go. It only sees use once and a while now a days but after the tourture its seen i think its earned its place on the wall.

Oh and to preserve the paint i have always taken very much care with maintenance on my guns. Every day of play is followed by a complete stripping of the marker and cleaning and LUBE. When i reassemble the marker i wipe it down with the rag i wipe my hands with so it gets a small amount of gun oil wiped onto the exterior of the marker seems to help keep the shine a bit. Cause believe me that tippmann has seen HELL (My sister once jammed the barrel into the ground so hard when she fell it busted the barrel LOL). Id hazard a guess of a couple hundred cases of paint threw this thing.

I used to carry a bone stock M98 in my gear bag. Nowadays, a fairly stock RT Pro is essentially my back up.

I've gotten to the point where not sure if anything is classified as a "beater" When all else fails, and that is going through a long list, the mag does come out but it's still sort of a closet queen:

i recently picked up a mint pro/carbine, always wanted one since i picked up a pro-lite my first time out. i have owned a cpl pro-family guns for only short bits though, now i plan on hanging on to this girl for many years to come,
