So a funny thing happened to me today. I finally received the last Part for my mag upgrade. (it sat in MI for 10 days even know it was priority shipping) It was a new custom milled rail. So i throw my mag together and I'm sitting there with all the extra parts that i have been replacing over the past few weeks and it hit me. I now have all the parts to put my original mag that i started with back together. So I did. Now i have two mags. This was never my intention. It's just the way it happened. I thought it was funny how i started out just replacing a few parts and upgrading this and that and eventually i had an entirely different gun than what i started with and there was not a single part left on it from the original mag. I'll get a picture up of the before and after (both guns will be in the same pic, LOL)

This is the funniest part, lolz. It's like what Da Vinci said, "art is never finished, only abandoned." Same with mags.

Yes sir I can relate , if I had one more x valve I would have 4 working mags... This includes my original Mag that I have had since the early 90's. The beautiful thing is that all of the parts I have bought are interchangable. I love my Mags.

I'm in a similar boat. It's a disease.

Watch out... Those two mags are gonna get frisky and give birth to many more mags... Gonna multiply like bunnies

i bought my first mag a little over a year ago... the i upgraded a couple parts, then i had %75 of a mag so i finished it... then upgraded a few more parts... i have now owned upwards of 10 different mags (down to 4 that i am keeping) all in one year. A sickness... a true sickness.

That's the spirit!

Now you know what would be cool is have a standby sleeper pneu frame or a hyperframe that you could just slap on when you get board out there... then you would have a mag kit plus a loaner!

Welcome to the club. That's basically one of the reasons I have 26 Mags now LOL

I guess I'm the oddball here. I know I've owned at least 15 different complete Mags over the years, but I only own the one I'm using at the time. I tend use what I build for a year or two then sell it as I build another. I think building them is as much fun as shooting them. BUT, I'd rather use my money to play than collect wallhangers =p

Sounds to me like your old original Mag needs some new upgrade parts. Slowly replacing all the original stuff. And the cycle will continue.

The same sort of thing happens with AR-15s. Switch out a stock, a tube, sights, etc., and you get to a point where you might as well just assemble a whole new AR.
