So before I started playing last year I had to buy a new reg piston from Tuna for my ReTro Valve. But by the end of last season (or the cause of last season to end) my micro was doing the same thing again, pissing out the back at 950psi but I was able to get it to fire and chrono in at about 260fps when I turned the flatline down to about 500 psi the recharge was slooow but it wouldn't leak...

I'm assuming I need a new reg piston but shouldn't they last longer then a few months? I oiled the gun once a month with a drop or two and only shot MAYBE 10 cases total with the gun.

That actually sounds like a reg seat/pin problem. You're not getting regulation if you have to turn down your bottle to 500 (which would also explain an overpressure leak from the reg piston).

You know! I was thinking that just as I got done typing it..... I had problems at that last big game we went too last year and I have 6 of the 8 guns I brought break down then I just shoved them all in a box till down so I hadn't thought about it too much

Yeah, it sounds like the pressure from the bottle is going straight through the valve.

Rebuild. There should be no reason you have to replace it.

Yea, most leaks are usually oring related. That is why the mag is so easy to fix in most cases. There are very few metal parts that make contact and wear out.
