I was tearing down a couple on classic valves I just picked up. Google fu told me that the on/off assembly on the left is a Z valve. What is the other on/off assembly? I haven't seen anything like it. Only clue I've got is that the mag has gone to Palmer Pursuit Shop. It's probably where it got the window milling and powder coat. Thanks for looking and any info you can provide.

I've never seen one like it either. Get with PP themselves, see what they say

That looks like a custom built on-off assembly.

Craig Palmer replied to my pm. He said they used to polish or install RT valves only. He too thinks it looks as if someone attempted to make their own valve.

It was a neat find albeit useless.
