Looking for a female threaded macrofitting for a project. I can't seem to find any. I see female/female adapters.

Ive never seen any... that said i bet you could fine someone to machine an adapter for CCM style fittings. Basically replace the male insides with female insides?

Out of curiosity what are you working on that will require this?

I am still looking for ways to modify a classic valve. I plan to mill a male fitting into the back of the classic valve. I will use the top hole (goes to the top of the on/off) as the hole for the fitting. I could use a female to female adapter but it adds more length to the back and that is what I am trying to currently eliminate.

My cap'd valve with Centerflag hyperflow is dialed in with about a 10 fps spread. The hyperflow is old and could probably use a rebuild too.

This female threading would be male.

So you would leave a piece of valve coming out of the back instead of drilling a hole into the back like your picture?

correct. The fill and drill method did not work as I hear pin hole leaks. Bro in law is going to look for a solution.

I figured a built in male fitting would allow for the most material removal. I would love to have the macro go directly into the top of the on/off. However, I don't want to mess with the bodies I have.

Yes they exist. Just have to look at industrial air fittings to find them. thats all macro line is anyway.

check thru mcmaster

not sure on sizes right now. cant seem to remember what size the macro is.

Another option is to check parker or clippard.

Great. Looks like I could have him do a drill and install. Have the macro fitting built into the valve. Good resource. Thanks again.
