6061 aluminum 1/4" x 6" x 9" (approx) cnc machined not laser engraved.
The back will be machined so it can be hung on the wall.
I will be donating some of the funds from each sold to the AO fund raiser.
These plaques will come with Tom K's autograph.

The powder coat would probably flake but one could anno it and then mill it and it should work.

I thought about that too but it would indeed flake. I was thinking perhaps applying powder to the machined surface then removing the powder off the face leaving it in the groove, but that would be real tricky. Not sure how clean the finished product would be.

Anno would actually work after machining. Anno the part then lay on a flat level surface, apply dye with a syringe into groove, rinse and seal...

While im interested I know I can't pay a few hundred for such an item. Will all depend on the final price.

:)

Guys, an anno guy should have no problem anodizing these. The "coloring" of the anodized part is just a dying process that can be controlled. The dye can be applied with a syringe into the groove so it can be a different color than the face.

Sending you the plates before the engraving creates more work than you realize. ;)

I considered it earlier but opted not to; I guess it depends on the overall consensus. It's only money (yours :D ) right.

It would shrink down but it's way too much detail to go that small I would think.

If there are 100 made and they're not numbered, then each one is 1 of 100 and there has to be a bit of history following them as to why/when they were made.

If they are numbered, then whoever has an arbitrarily high number such as 83/100 seems to have a lesser valued plaque than the guy with 1/100 or 10/100.

I'm for keeping them unnumbered. Adds to the mystique.

My thoughts on leaving the number off were that they would never be made in this exact configuration again; additional runs will not be autographed by TK. ;)

It was very difficult to get a picture of the aluminum, this is the best of about 30 pictures and it sucks.

The final version will have a little more spacing on the corner lettering so it’s clearer. (Mine, TOTs and AM.org will be spaced out more, TKs will stay the same.) Other than that I made very minor adjustments that no one but me will ever notice.

Guys I've decided to clean up the line drawing further. The artwork is specifically designed for screen printing on a black surface so much of the “shading” art is unnecessary for the plaque. I removed some up front but I got to tinkering this evening and found the more I remove the better it looks.

I have also enlarged the lettering again this time on all four corners and it looks much better over all and is now more readable.

I should have a price tomorrow so I can start taking orders.

I believe Mario @ FX anodizing did it for me. I added the gold afterwards. I believe it was bowling ball crayon.
