So computer nerds, now that napster is gone, where do you go for music downloads and why? I am trying to sort out wich is best. I have tried limewire (it was ok, just not a good selection) and winmx (not user/my computer friendly).

So what else is out there?

Aimster was good, but now they changed to Madster and you have to pay. :(

Now you get back off your cheap asses and go buy your records and cds like the rest of us. Sorry if I don't sound sympathetic, but I'm not.

I use kazaa, it uses the same servers as morpheus, and is basically the same thing. I actually get most of the stuff off my network at school. I rarely buy CDs, unless it's one that I really really like. But!!! I spend lots of money supporting the bands I listen too. They make more money from me buying clothing, and going to their concerts than paying for their cds.

way to live in the past Kev... Napster has been gone for a while...

Morpheous (www.musiccity.com) and KaZaA (www.kazaa.com) are the most popular, it dosn't matter which you get, they are BOTH THE SAME. You can DL stuff from Mopheous users from Kazaa and vise versa.

I'd recommend Morpheous, it takes a bit less system resourses.

fact of the matter is I buy more Cds now then I ever have. thanx to morpheus, and I am LOADED with mp3 players. I have a protable cd player mp3 a fixed memory mp3 and an in dash car mp3 player.... sorry if you have a problem with trying out a CD before you buy it, but I figure "if I'm going t opay 12-18 $ for something that costs them less then a buck to make then I want to KNOW what I'm getting...

Hear, i couldn't agree with you more. FeeltheRt, bite me :).

I would download movies, but i only have dial up and it would take days for one movie. So for now it is just music.
