Ano striping a barrel?

I have a CCM barrel that has flutes cut into it that would go perfect with my IT body mag. If I strip the ano will it ruin the finish on the inside of the barrel? Also it's ported.

Your anno guy should be able to plug the barrel. To include the porting.
