ok guys i'm thinking that since rec ball is only going to be thursday night and it's $50 we sould have a game at one of the local fields (Area 51 to be exact, they have a nice clean field, it's well lit, and they have an air compressor.) so tell me when you want to go and i'll arange it as they are open 24/7 if you make an appointment.

the times are based on the fact that i think skyball ends at 6:00pm if i'm wrong then just start them 1h after it's supposed to close down.

Well if this year Skyball is anything like it has been in the past, They will be playing each night into the wee hours of the morning. Now with having 6 fields this year, they will probably make up alot of time.

When every you guys play (friday or Saturday...I'm leaving Sunday) I'll try to make it.

it's not that dumb if you arn't form around here. it's at the skydome in toronto, ontario, canada.

just found out that saterday night is going to be the awards so, i'm thinking friday may be best, also it looks like the last game may go untill around 9:00pm so i'm thinking friday at 9:00 or 10:00 may be best.

I almost cried when I read 9 cents a ball...

But then I remembered, It's not real money!

synreal

so paint is what, 85-90 bucks (real money) per case?

how far is the field from the sky dome? i know most people attending will not have cars.

assuming 9 cent rounds, and cases of 2000

we get 180 CAD per case.

assuming 1 CAD = 0.628655 USD (www.xe.com) we get 113.158 USD per case. Still very high.

it's a bit of a drive, i'll see what we can do to arange trasport, i'm not realy sure how long it is as i have never gone there form the dome. i have a pickup with a cab so if you don't mind keeping down that will pack a few more in my truck, and i think a good number of the locals who will be there will drive, but i can't say for sure, the other option is to split the cost of a taxi.

depending on the turn out we may be able to squeez them a bit on paint price.

and what's all this about it not being real money? ;)

The paint price does seem a little steep to me. Synreal and I are staying Downtown, not in the dome, so depending on when we do this we might have to leave from there.

And you know what us Americans (especially with us Detroiters being so close to Windsor) think of your Monopoly money...
:D

is paint really 9 cents a ball?

Muzikman
02-22-2002, 03:32 PM
Isn't / Wasn't there a place called Paintball City or something along those lines. I stopped by there a few years ago and it wasn't all that far from the dome. I even found it on my own at night with really bad directions:)

yah but the field isn't verry good... infact is just sucks. trust me 51 is a much better field. if we want to go saterday after the awards then we could dicuss how we will get there when we get together on friday and saterday.

synreal

Is there a chance you could look into getting a bulk rate on paint? 10 cents a ball (canadian or not) is pretty steep.

I'm still very interested though, Saturaday evening/night would be fine by me.

Drizit

i'll see what i can do but no promices, and that's about the going rate for paint up here. you do have to factor in shipping, duty and a 15% tax that is already in the price. that's $30 a case just in tax so it's not realy that bad.
