No, 3 in 1 oil, being petrolium based, will attack your O-rings and damage them!!! Use a high quality synthetic air tool oil!!! It is important for the oil to be fully synthetic with no petrolium content!!!

Go for KC Trouble Free oil if you can find it. Highly recommended by techs and engineers everywhere.

I have used 3 in 1 oil for 2 years, have never replaced the o-rings after the first time when I bought my gun.

Have never had a leak due to a failed oring.

I clean and re-oil my guns after every time I play.

Just my 2 cents, won't recommend that everyone do it, but I have had great luck for very cheap. Plus, you can buy a whole rebuild kit for what some of those oils cost.

KC Trouble free is the only oil for the Airgun line of markers. I really wish Tom would include it with every gun.

Why does this misinformation still exist! o-rings EXIST
for the purpose of sealing petroleum based products
like oils,brakefluid,gasoline,and grease.

Industrial air systems are normally lubricated with ISO 10
Hydraulic oil, Yes made of petroleum

Hydraulic systems are FILLED with petroleum based oil, guess
what is used to hold it in. O-RINGS !

Yes it is true that Petroleum Distillates can harm some
o-rings and that is why oils like WD-40 are a bad choice.

There are good reasons to use air tool oil or even the paintball oils,
but that is because of convenience of packaging,
cleanlyness and because they have additives that make them
stick better to the lubricated parts.

BUT PETROLEUM BASED OILS DO NOT HARM O-RINGS

there, end of rant, thank you for your time:)
