there should be a link of all the body types out there and yes i have looked through the pic thread and couldnt find it, not a karta, chord, ptp Ripper, shock wave and not a dallara. though it kinda flowed like a dallara it had some wicked features. really cant describe it i have only see it a few times and just cant find a pic. so lets see them guys!

I stayed away from those IT bodies over the years for 2 reasons:
1. I have yet to see them paired with an aesthetically complimentary rail.
2. Looks like a pain to clean.

I think if the rail and body in that pic were ano matched it would look pretty decent. Maybe if the front and rear had a couple of the tear drops in it to tie them together. Or maybe an omega rail.with the hard lines in it would look OK?

I've only ever seen that body on that frame though

I think that looks great! The frame and fore grip really compliment the body on that, well done sir

Edit: I just barely noticed its on an omega rail too.... the shadows made it look stock in the smaller picture on my phone. That really is a sweet looking setup.

Am I the only person who is bothered by the fact that you can see the change in valve diameter at the dump chamber (on the side of the bodies at least) with a lot of these aftermarket bodies? I know they were but, to me it seems like the bodies were not designed to fit the valves.

Are you talking about the part of the valve being visible when it's normally not on standard bodies? If so then there's no reason to worry, the valve contains the pressure, not the body.

Yes, that is the portion of the valve I was referring to. I was not concerned about any mechanical/safety issue, I just find it aesthetically unappealing. Am I the only one?

The PBX people that designed that aren't on the forums really.

Mike Quinn (Of MQ valve fame) is too busy to read forums. Kerry moved and is doing his own thing.

i dont mind it though i agree its not the most sightly thing ever. I guess if i had to choose between showing this and the lines in the bodies i would take the lines in the bodies.

i really like the shape of the dallara and karta. What i meant to say was i would rather have the nice shape of the body that reveals the part of the valve that changes diameter than have the valve fully covered.

BiNumber3
04-05-2013, 09:47 PM
Yea for the most part I don't care for it, perhaps a window or such instead where you can't see the change in diameter so easily

From the description I don't think this is it, but I'll throw it in anyway. My custom slug body, I believe made by Detroit.

Bling Bling Automag Body: Released around 2002-2003 in Kentucky. It was created around the time the first deadlywind chords were being milled. I think KayleAGD had one if I remember correctly.

Not too sure, there wasn't that much information about the company. I know KayleAGD owned one since he lives in/near Kentucky, but other than that, I think they are pretty darn rare. I haven't seen any come up for sale.

Look up the user name predater. Join date of 2000 or 2001. I couldn't remember my password. And I'm sure my email Addy from back then is no good if I could remember that. So I made a new account with the user name that I use on all of the drag race forums I'm in.

My avatar back then was a picture of a predator cloaking. If that rings a bell. I lost that image back in 05 when I had a nasty computer crash.
