I've read that the bolt in the EM1 shouldn't be
oiled and the bolt on the Bushmaster should only
be lubed with Dow33 or white lithium grease because
the derlin bolts expand a bit with the use of
paintball gun oil.I'm thinking maybe too much oil
is getting on the Superbolt through regular oil in the ASA,
or perhaps the user is putting it directly on the bolt.
Tom,can you test a superbolt with direct oiling and one
without to see if the bolt is expanding?

Where did you read that delrin expands? Know that some old bolt mfg (shocktech?) used teflon based, which susceptable to swelling in oil badly. Info on delrin, by s74, ( http://www.kingmanusa.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=15&t=000083&p=7 ): delrin is a trademark name from Dupont for a "HOMOpolymer".... this material is made by DSM engineering products, inc out of Reading, PA... It's name is acetron gp and it is a "COpolymer"... The dupont corp developed the delrin in the 60's, this acetron is the 90's version. It has what is called a "Lower centerline porosity"... basically it means that it is more dense and less affected by saturation... go to this web site and check it out acetal differences... I'm looking for more, this is just to keep you posted... I called our customer to find out why we were told that it was Delrin (they supplied the material). They said that it machined the same and they didn't want to have any confusion w/ osha regulations.... "
Summary: You don't need to worry about oil swelling with delrin.
