I know you said you cleaned and oiled it but usually dirt is the culprit. Try again or buy a rebuild kit. The AGD store has them as does Tunamart.

Had the same problem.

There are two vent holes: One on the reg, and one closer to the feedneck that is on the valve side of the body.

If it is the latter, there is a problem with your 006 polyurethane o ring on the valve pin assembly.

No, you cannot use butyl nitrate, nor can use vitron, nor teflon. None of those work. Only polyurethane. The best way to get it is a rebuild kit. 006 polyurethane o rings cost like 15 shipped for 10 or so. The rebuild kit costs 24 and shipping from tunaman (email or PM him, the cart for his shop doesn't work). the kit comes with so much else it's smarter to just get the kit.

I know. I resisted getting the kit. I tried so many other things. But frankly, unless you have a local source for polyurethane o rings (highly doubtful, I live in an international city and the only source is from companies that supply products for building jet engines :P ) then you should just suck it up and get the rebuild kit.

Been there. Done that. Get the kit.
