To all of you Retro owners please post what pressure you have your gun running at and how the trigger pull is. Will it be ok to run a preset Crossfire 68/3000 stubby with the retro? Would you even need an adjustable tank? Any information that can be give will be greatly appreciated.

Preset is fine with a retro. I use a crossfire 68/3000 preset at 800 psi. Nice snappy trigger response.
An adjustable tank is not necessary unless you want to play with it to adjust the trigger response. Higher the input pressure the snappier the trigger response.

Sweet thanks alot for letting me know. Are all Crossfires preset to 800 psi?

Good question. Not all their tanks are preset to 800psi.Thought most of their fiber wrapped tanks are set at 800psi I prefer not to mislead you on the stubby tanks as I do not know for sure.

I have my tank set at 600psi, I get a good trigger response too. not too fast or slow....

well just fired it. it's a little stiffer than i would like. i have a dye 2x trigger. i like to fire using both fingers. it's not easy firing with my index finger though. i'm going to have to get used to firing using only one finger. i found that when i did all i have to do is press with a constant pressure close to what i need to actually fire. then when i actually squeeze that little bit harder to fire the retro will bounce my finger back and i can fire again quickly. not runaway just getting back into position. can't get very long strings yet but with practice i should be able to. i'll probably get an adjustable tank so that i can make it lighter and go back to using both fingers. :(
