emag thing

I'm going to send some parts out to get annoed and I have my emag frame stripped. There is a little rounded off pin at the front. Does it need to come out ? The reason I ask is it seems to be pretty tight in there and I don't want to force something and break it. I had thought about using a pin punch on it. Any special way to get it out?

Yes, it will need to be removed. You can use a hammer and a punch to get it out. Sometimes it is a PITA to get out so be careful.

To state the obvious, it will have to be hammered back in when you get the frame back from anodizing too. IIRC, it's somewhat barbed/serrated. Either have your anodizer plug that hole or run some sandpaper inside when you get it back, because that's a ground contact terminal and it needs to be able to be in contact with the bare aluminum.

to help, drill a hole does not need to be deep, into a spare piece of wood,
i use a 2x4 scrap i rest the frame and pin over that hole,
the wood takes the inertia and impact, wood doesn't mar the frame :D, and the hole allows you to find the pin when it pops out.
also lay a mat or a folded towel under where you are working especially if you are around cement, asphalt and such
