I'm just getting back into paintball and I want to upgrade my minimag. What are the best things to add to help it shoot faster? I see that some people are getting 20+bps. My minimag is probably 12 years old is that even possible?

Yes Xvalve which can be purchased from tuna man
As far as frame it personal preference single trigger frames can rt as well

Thanks. I'll be getting in touch with tuna man shortly. Lastly, I've noticed that the Mags now have a vertical feed and no need for an elbow. How is that achieved?

if you are talking about the Minimag bodies, they are an aftermarket body made XMT to look like the classic minimag, but based off the ULE bodies.

Nice. Reverse MIniMag valve. You'll probably get a couple of PM's from people wanting to buy it. Personally I would just find an Intelliframe, out an RT Pro on/off and maybe a level 10 in it and call it a day.

If you are set on a valve that RT's look for a Retro/RT/EMag valve. They can usually be found for $100-120 depending on whether they have an L10 bolt. Used X valves sell in the $170-210 range depending on condition.

While it's fun to RT, it's not necessary at most fields IMO. Most times where I play ROF is requested to be kept down especially if you're playing with rentals. Personally I haven't played with anything but a pump for nearly 2 years of rec ball.

Ive decided on the xvalve and the ninja regulator. My question is does the ninja regulator screw into an existing tank or do you need to purchase a tank with the regulator in it already. Also what is the purpose of changing the grip frame to on the Mags other than comfort and appearance. Sorry if these questions seems dumb but the equipment has changed a lot since I last played.

Theoretically with a double frame you can sustain faster rate of fire as you get less finger fatigue being able to use two fingers. Also allow you to fan or possibly walk the trigger, but I have never really been able to do so with a strictly mech Mag.

The Ninja reg will in most cases screw into your existing tank. However, I would venture a guess it is out of hydro and possibly almost at the end of its life span if its a carbon fiber tank. Would need more info to determine.

The tank is out of hydro I think it went out in 2006. It is a crossfire stubby 68ci 3000. Can I get a new tank with the ninja reg in it already?

yes, straight from Ninja, or others. they come in standard high pressure, super high pressure and i'm pretty sure a custom if you want. the standard runs about 850 psi, the shp can be adjusted from 950 to 1100. I bought a used one on this sight that is a 1200 plus that was made by Ninja just for the original owner. you just need to decide what pressure level you need, also the shp will move more volume as well if I understand it correctly. the more pressure the faster the rt effect generally.
