Tips on getting the ball detent installed?

Didn't realized How hard it will be to get the ball detent back in my emag, Anyone have any tips on getting it installed? The one located on the trigger select. I made a attempt with the safety pin and the ball went flying lol

use a lube to hold it in place, and then work the detent. that way, it will not hurt it and will stay in place till you get everything where you want it.

What do you use to press it down to slide the part in?
