Just marked it on my calendar.... If any of you were on the fence about Tunaball 7 or Living Legends 7 and you didn't attend either, make it up to yourself and head to Tunaball 8 next year. Nothing can stop AO/BEOers from having a good time. I will be there. I'm not sure if I will bring my entire collection with me though... :p

I think we should steal the museum idea. With all of the stuff Topgun has too, we could put up a pretty good display :)

I was planning on attending last year and didn't make it. I've talked to a few guys here that did and they said its definitely worth the trip. I swore when I left Jersey ten years ago that I wouldn't return. Gonna attempt to go back on that word though.

You have a full year to start saving. I paid for almost my entire LL7 trip with a coin jar. I would throw loose change and $5s and $10s in whenever I could. It adds up, especially if you start now.

I'm about 19 hours, it was cheaper to fly, and way less stressful.

Those of you that want cabins:

I need names, who's gonna be in your cabin, and how many you need.

6 is the MAX per cabin! 5 is best for gear and space.

Booking will happen in the next 2-3 months.

Security deposit required.

If you have small children or women staying with you, the cabins MIGHT not be a good idea.....

I'm looking into flights.

I had two interviews on Monday for a new DBA/BI position. I nailed the first one and have a follow up on Friday morning with their CTO. I feel good about the second place, too. I told my managers about it and they finally realized I'm serious about leaving. They asked what I would need to stay. So, it looks like making it to TB8 might not be a problem after all. :D

Cabins (glorified trailer with wood siding, heat, AC, power, shower, toilet, water) are located less than 2 miles from the field. We RARELY leave a 5 mile radius of the area.

If you want to use a hotel,.. book early and book CLOSE to the field... its better on you,.. trust me!

Actually, festivities start Friday. 12 noon we usually meet at the field. Register, BS, get all of that out of the way so we dont waste time Saturday. Friday night we do a cookout... Play Saturday, repeat cookout, play Sunday. Sunday will most likely be a mechs/pumps only game

1. Less expensive.
2. No one-hour registration lines (shortened to a mere 55 minutes by an efficient, streamlined online pre-registration process :) ).
3. All the company is good.
4. Tuna will be there.
5. Pillage pork!
6. More playing, less walking/waiting.
7. Games are won by eliminating opponents vice spinning colored pinwheels under a paint sprinkler. ;)
8. Everyone playing is competent.
9. No one is keeping score.
10. No one is making you stand 2 hours in the hot sun to get said score.
11. No quarter-mile chrono lines.
12. Parking is surprisingly close to staging area.
13. Staging area is not on an oozing septic field.
14. No need to say/repeat/repeat/repeat, "This is an automag."

No blame at all, good sir! Just keeping a sense of humor. Besides, I had a fine time, and I'm guessing most folk did as well. In fact, you guys all lifted my spirits immensely on Friday. Seriously. Hind sight is always 20/20. If not for the good people that showed up, it would have been a total poop-fest. Leech field not withstanding.

But i have more of a pro lem with how the event was run, the lack of rules or even enforcement, and the total disregard of safety. Luckily TopGun and Tunaball organizers are players and know what it takes to put on an excellent event. Hell, tunaball has been going on cor much longer, and with no injuries at the game. Except for a couple people's feelings...

There is a map at Topgun. You can add a push pin to your home town designating you were a player at topgun from that place. There are lots of pins in lots of locations :)

So we are thinking about making this a family trip. My son is twelve and I hope he will join us on the field. He has never played before but I hope to remedy that soon. Does anyone else have a youngster that will be playing ?

Outlaw5 brings his kid, but he is nearing 18, so not really a kid anymore. I believe there will he other kids around that would be playing. Being his first time, there are some that can bring the firepower, but most that see a youngster, will tone it down. I would take him in the backyard first to shoot him, cause the initial hit is always the scarest.

I HATE being hit, I consider that motivation.....and because it's almost always in the hand.

As i always tell people that have little to no clue about getting hit by a paintball, is "the first four letters in paintball is PAIN.". Its not getting tickled with a feather, but generally, its much less after the first time getting hit. The first one always hurts, but the 100th is eh.

- Wawa (breakfast and snacks)
- Dunkin' Doughnuts (coffee)
- McDonald's (for fast food)
- Steak Restaurant (I forget the name, but we go there for dinner on Saturday night)
- Pillage cooks a pig
- We also BBQ at the cabins

It's whatever you want to make of it!

Breakfast is whatever is convenient for you.

Friday night player's party is a BBQ that everyone pitches in with. If it can be grilled up, its for us.

Saturday is Pillage Pork for lunch. Don't need much more than that. The best, most tastiest pork that could ever pass your lips will be served.

Saturday night, BBQ. Whatever we didn't grill up from Friday Night, is finished off.

Sunday lunch is more apillage pork and whatever else we can eat up.

As was said, there is a Dunkin' Donuts, Burger King outside the field. The WaWa does hot and cold food. A little better 5han most convenient store fare. The steak house is more of a pub type, Tommy's Inn Bar & Restaurant.

Everything mentioned is literally with in a Square Mile of the field. As in, depending on where you are coming in from, you will be passing on of the aforementioned stores. If there isn't something for your needs, you can certainly bring it yourself. I believe that there is a Walmart within 10 miles of the field.

I see they announced the PSP schedule for 2015 and there is an event May 1-3. I wonder if that means we loose Simon and have to change the Vintage gun day thing..............

If you could somehow make it her idea it will happen, after all its his anniversary too isnt it ?

I had a sales manager once that wouldnt agree to anything, unless you could make it his idea, then it was absolutely going to happen.

If no cabin, you can ask Beemer to share his hotel room. He loves company. :)

Rather do the hotel with someone to share the cost.

Don't have to worry about cleaning up, supplying TP soap towels etc.

Not to mention sleeping on the floor or a couch.
