Wtf, I've been applying for jobs lately and here in Maine if you are 15 you need a workers permit to work and I dont turn 16 until September! I know I can get a summer job working for my uncle. No one except fast food places hire 15 year olds around here. Guys got any other idea's where I could apply for a job?

Same thing for me.

-I tried a restaurant-Never called me back after I applied.
This week I've applied at 2 places

-Supermarket; applied, had interview. Guy wont hire me until June when Im 15 1/2.

-Restaurant/bar-Not hiring now, but will be in 1 1/2 month and then they will call me.

Right now alls I got is a paper route. I need money now though, I dont know if I should wait for the last place or try another. I got a PNL tournament on the 17th, so I need the cash.

Working at the field is impossible untill summer. Its an hour away and we don't have vehicles yet.

I applied at Burger King in September. Got a job in October. Been working there since then. Not too bad, its starting to get better becasue I have people to talk to now. They don't ignore me anymore :)

I'm getting a $60 paycheck this week and I only work 3 or 4 hour shifts. Pretty easy cash

TacoBell hired me at 15 because they forgot to ask me my age, and I thought they hired at 15 lol :D. They said they thought I looked older, and didn't bother to ask! In fact they were gonna have me fry things, and you have to be over 18 to use the fryer, so they were like "You are over 18, right" and I'm all like "no..." then they are like "Well you know not to stick your hand in here, right?" lol! :D:D. But now I am 16, and back to work at the bell! :D lol

ENDO!

I'm not sure how long it takes but just go get your workers permitt. What's the big deal. In VA. you can get one when you turn 15

Yeah I can get my workers permit, but the thing is I need to find a job before I can do that...

huh?? I don't understand why you need a job to get a workers permitt. Are you sure, cause that doesn't make any sense. You need a permitt to get a job but you need a job to get the permitt. Can anyne say Catch-22?:D

Ok, this is how the workers permits work. You find a job, get hired and then you send in for a workers permit for that company/job. So say I work a Taco Bell and then I want to get a Job at Burger King. I have to get two sperate workers permits...

How about working at a paintball field? I'm only fifteen and I've been offered jobs at a field.

Your best bet is to wait until you're older, then get a job. You don't really want one anyway, once you're a worker you're stuck for the rest of your life.

I just applied at a bunch of record stores yesterday, but all of them you had to be at least 16, many of them 17-18 before they'd consider you. You might be stuck with a crappy job if you really want one before you're 16.

I was making 8 bucks an hour when I was 15. I could have worked a bunch of places. I live in the boonies too. You just have to apply to places. Maybe get better grades and stuff, that always looks good.

I know I could have a good job this summer, Last summer I worked for my uncle at all of the schools doing maintance. I worked 40 hour weeks, 8 hour days. From 6am to 2pm. I made $1500 and I even got a Tax refund! Got $100 back. So I made out pretty good I thought, but yet also I blew most of my summer working considering that I couldn't have been doing something else. The way I look at it, I have more money stored away now for a rainy day. :D
