I have 2 kapp automag sight rails I purchased a long time ago and just never used them but I just recently took one outta the box and cannot figure out how to put one on. They almost seem made more for a spyder but box does say automag has anyone had any experience with them?thanks
Ohh I'll get a picture up in a bit.http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h433/rockytop87/IMG_20140728_090152914.jpg (http://s1109.photobucket.com/user/rockytop87/media/IMG_20140728_090152914.jpg.html)

Slide them on from the back when valve is off.

i've had both sp and pe splashed rails that were tight, the finish rubbed off the inside onto the ss body they were so tight.

They fit fairly tight, but that one may be tighter than some others. I have a Taso and another one and they both have set screws so they fit a little looser.

Holy cow!I got it to snap onto body and align up but now the valve where the fitting screws into is covered up.lol wow I've gotta take it back off to have a hole drilled for the valve fitting.these 2 sight rails may just find their way into the trash.lol

Any chance one of the holes or gills in the side line up with the input to the valve?

seems like a waste...i'd sell them. maybe your first thought was right, and they aren't for automags.

Maybe they're for Classic RT's where you don't have to deal with the inlet for the valve??

Would power feed make any difference?

i don't think so; the feed tube is in the same place regardless.

True. So maybe it's meant for classic RT like OPBN suggested.

Wonder if mine is a KAPP as well. It's black with slightly different holes on the side. They're more straight up and come to a point instead of slant back like yours. It's a shame too because I really like it, thought about just having it milled to allow a fitting in there.

i'm pretty sure these are for a spyder, and were mislabled.

or, you put it on backwards. flip it around, and see if it fits then.

Use a hammer and a piece of 1 1/8 od heavy wall pipe. I had mine for years and they do fit spyders, so I looked at as nothing ventured nothing gained. So it was pound and check and pound, I was rather put out when the air port was covered. Now I'm just trying to figure where to put a hole and how long I'm going to spend fileing on to fit right. I'm letting mine sit before frustration turns it into scrap. It won't rattle though, it's still very tight. So break out the hammers and tongs and torture yourself.

...or just sell the things to people with spyders and then use that money to buy a proper automag sight rail...or something. lol.

Yeah I flipped it around but still covers air port on valve,so yeah prolly for spyders but does look cool.:)
