Not a problem, mind waiting a bit on shipping? Eyeing myself a wedge.

No freaking way, I was just thinking about having the same thing done to mine.

Does the gash around the feedneck go all the way through? Knowing you it does not but just wanted to ask.

Sure, not a problem.

Also can you get pictures of that on a gumshoe rail?

I only have 2 Gumshoe rails this one and an AM version..

That's a nice body! Well done Luke!
How does it sit on a full length Armada rail?

What about the tail section, would it be something that could be removed; the portion that's covering the topside of the x-valve...?

Perfect fit, same length.

It would be easier to remove it than to machine it like it is, that section is pretty thin. It's actually one of my favorite parts of the body, it's clean in person. ;)

Is this going to be one of the bodies you're going to market?

I wont make them from scratch but will offer it as a mod.

Gotta get some other stuff done but bodies are coming. I know you guys have heard it all before :p but I'm working on it. It's gonna be a trick making these on a mill but I think I can pull it off.

I like it, leaves room for c+c on it?

luke
08-27-2014, 11:23 PM
Nope, what you see is what you get. If you ever looked closely at a Tac body you'll see the walls are super thin at the base of the Tac mounts. ;)

WHAT! I want a refund! lol

Can I at least get credit for being the first Tac body milled this way by you? lol

Mine is at the anodizer right now and I'm hoping a coat of black will help make it look even nicer. This body looks very clean but I really like the square front on mine:

:) Refund! You designed yours and I designed Ailias, you got exactly what you ask for. ;)

You should have let me machine the MM2K like I wanted too, now you'll never know. ;)

I so want to see this, and do have a body if you want to try it.

What the MM2K milling? Probably not you think, it's just removing the machined areas that are there. Really that's all this body is, I just machined the Tac mounts off. ;)

What did you want to do to my M2k body? Turns out it can't be anodized so I still have it raw and it can still be milled more... ;)

Sk8ermog

Why can't it be anodized?

My PTP Micromag bodies can't be anodized because its near impossible to remove the steel ring inside which would mess up the process. Its a problem all older micromag bodies have but I thought I could get around it with the anodizer I'm using but no such luck.

The body that Luke milled from a Tac-one body in the first post can easily be anodized.

I wonder if people would pay $75 a pop for me to remove those sleeves? lol :D:p:ninja:

When will this be for sale? And what would be the price point for just the Body and the rail and then both?

Still not sure about that rail though.

That's a lot of cool parts.

Maybe go with a gumshoe rail to keep with the box-iness and it would be awesome if the front of the body and rail were milled off to match the curve of the foregrip.

Yea, not sure about that particular rail with the other parts, I need to get some slug rails made.

What type of slug are you looking for, AM, RTP?

Sk8ermog
09-06-2014, 08:30 PM
I'm still hoping for a RTP slug for my milled Tac Body/Square Mag Build. Mine needs to be a certain length in the front, but it's very close to a RTP/Emag rail. Would only require a little trimming. ;)

Oh! Please do something about rounding off that big square chunk outa the trigger frame.Angle it off or smooth it out 90114
crude but like this sorta. or maybe the trigger smooths it out. That big square missing hunk just gives me the Hee Bee geeb"s shutter!

Oh! I see it now. It's like how a blade trigger in a stock intelly fits up with the back of the trigger guard on the inside. OK lets get a trigger in there.
