Has anyone played with the Spyder VS2 grip?

I noticed today that the Spyder VS2 electronics has a vertical solenoid. I think it would be much easier to adapt to a mag. Has anyone tried? Thought I would ask around before buying one and destroying it with my dremel.

Never held one, just came across a picture today and got me thinking. If only someone could make a frame that I could stuff some spyder parts into;)
