How would I go about polishing up an X-mag without stripping the anno???

Parts of the body look like there is some tarnish on them. I tried dishsoap and a soft cloth with elbow grease, and rubbing alcohol to no avail. Any ideas?

Thank you,

Though anno is a different breed than clear coats on autopaint, you can look to the auto industry for a basis of restoring the finish. You could go low tech and use a non abrasive toothpaste, maybe using cotton balls to be gentle on it. I would try it on a unseen place to t3y it on, before moving onto the body majora. I am sure that other people have had better success at this.

there is a way to do it with a buffing wheel that is amazing. I do it a lot for people here in town. you have to do some research to get it right, along with practice.
I wish I could show you come pictures of before an after that I do.

but its a side thing I have done for about 8-9 years now.

I would start without rouge on a clean buffing wheel, if needed add a fine grit buffing rouge for aluminum.
