I've noticed Classic RTs that come with 2 different style rear sight rails.
One appears to be solid milled aluminum, more of a traditional sight rail.
The other is more of a bent sheetmetal rear sight rail.

WHich is older/newer? Any reason for the differences? Is either more/less rare?

I'm just curious.

the only correct sight rail, as far as i'm concerned, is the dust black machined aluminum. the gloss black machined aluminum is for the emag, and the stamped stainless steel is for the rt pro.

So which mag did the machined dust black come with, original RT?

I've seen pics of enough RTs with the silver sheetmetal sight rails that it can't just be people swapping them out though. Perhaps later productions after the Retros and emags were introduced to all use a common part?

yeah.

it is just people swapping them, as the rt classic is old and the stamped rails were newer (less expensive parts, to get the cost of the rt pro down). or i'd guess, one owner takes it off, and another owner later on adds a different one.
