View Full Version : So what tanks/regs are considered the highest flowing/recharging around nowadays?

Need a new tank. Definately a new bottle at least. I'm thinking a Ninja SL 77ci

I do have a micro maxflow on an expired tank I liked alot. I might shim it up to 950+psi but what options exist for a new regulator altogether? Who makes the highest flowing highest recharge to take advantage of RT trigger bouncing?

I don't care if it's screw-in style or not.

Ninja SHP for 950 or 1100psi output.

The new ball valve versions have higher flow but will also be harder to turn on because bigger surface area of the ball causes more resistance.

CP direct mount Asa will work just fine as will BL gear drive (these I've tried).

So is this new ball valve version the Ninja V1 or Ninja V2 version?

I believe the V2 is the ball version.

Yep. V2 is ball valve.

Here's the difference between the two.

So what's the best?

I know centerflag adjustables were pretty bamf back in the day.

we had this discussion like a week or 2 ago. i have heard recently that the v2 ninjas are picky about the on/offs they like. i prefer the older style pmi pure energy regs easily shimmed nickle plated bonnet easily replaced, rebuild kits are easy to find and so are replacement shims.

presets i prefer the old style crossfire regs or even the new ones are pretty solid too.

I have a 68 and a 90 SL tank, they are the best, very small, I have a 68 cover on the 90 and a 45 cover on the 68.

The V2 Pro Ninja regs can be temperamental sometimes getting the gun aired up with that ball bearing valve, depending on what asa you are using.

Just leave the air on till the day is over.

I'm pretty sure Ninja still sells the V1 Pro regs with the pin valve instead of the ball bearing.

I've not found a faster recharging screw in tank reg than Ninja.

I'm eyeballing those 77ci Ninja SL SHP tanks hard.

The Empire ones are comparable if you can get them at a better price. I have a Empire 68 that is stupid small and the reg is surprisingly good on it.

they are the same design as the pure energy/pmi regs with an aluminum bonnet if im not mistaken.

I never looked into it.. my 'dealer' got it for me. As all of my older 68s are dying I am replacing them with the newer ones. I have different regs too if I want to swap...

as you can tell by my name i think the SHP is your best option for the RT effect.

Adjust the length of the on/off pin for RT effect. You don't need anything more than a 800psi from the tank.
