I was talking with Forest today about micromags and he shared that the first micromags were cut down steel automag bodies with modified barrel detents. I had never heard that before and never seen one. I was wondering if anyone out there in AO land has one? Any pictures?

Well, not to argue with Forest and I haven't seen every mag body produced ever, but I've never seen or heard of anything like that. The earliest "micro mag" bodies looked nothing like what it sounds like you are describing. What he's saying may certainly be the case, I've seen some of the earliest Blazers when meeting Glenn at World Cup nearly 18 years ago and they were rough compared to everything you could see these days, so who's to say what the "first/earliest" micro mags looked like....

I'd love to see a pic. It would be another notch in the mag history belt :)

I thought Dan Bacci mentioned the cut down bodies in a video about micro mags a few years ago. It sounds vaguely familiar like I heard it before.

I have never heard of anything like that. This is my first-gen Micro:

He probably was refering to a prototype of some sort.
