I am planning on being there in a support capacity for Simon. I played the game once & my experiences didn't go as expected.

Glad to see he will have back-up :D If I remember correctly, the game was okay, I was more occupied in the museum tent anyways. I wonder if we can talk Tom into bringing some of his collection for the public to see. Maybe I can rent a truck and drive it myself. Road trip from AZ to Chicago and back?? lol

I totally agree with you. The game sucks. When i played 2 years ago, it was to me, all the bad things of paintball rolled into one. The price to play, i will always except as renegade ball does nothing to support the fields and shops.

But, the reasons i am going, other than to work the event, is that there is a huge number of people and manufacturers that go. Not that this is a release party like World cup used to be, but all the industry names will be there. Ninja, Planet Eclipse, HK, Dye, Empire/GI, Tippmann, Valkan. So you name it, they will be there. So if you want to go see and touch pieces that your local shops won't or can't carry, this is a place to be.

So i take the game with a grain of salt. But do not dismiss the event because of the game.

Paint sales are fields primary source of income. High paint prices have been the norm for years. I pay it when I must, but what kills me the most isn't the price, it's the quality.

I sent a message to Maghog to see if I could borrow some of his collection for the museum. I tried the last time I went to LL, but it has been about 5 years since I spoke to Dan@Triggernomics (Maghog). Does anyone have a new e-mail address for him? I thought it would be cool to show off his works of art to both Bud and Tom in person. The last time I spoke with him his collection was sitting in a closet over here in the US. :D

Yep. He is still overseas. His stuff did get seized many years ago. I'll try to dig up the thread. He also had some of his collection taken by the IRS when his collection was on loan to a paintball field in Maine.
